Description:

The project aims to help boost the energy independence of the Portuguese and Spanish border towns by creating a Cross-Border Energy Community that promotes the production and use of sustainable energy sources. This cross-border energy community will aim to facilitate the generation and use of energies with high potential in the area of operation (wind, photovoltaic and geothermal), with actions aimed at determining the requirements and possibilities at a legal, technical and technological level, establishing guidelines so that the different local entities can implement them in their respective municipal facilities. It will also seek to provide citizens with fair and easy access to local renewable energy resources, so that they can benefit from the investment made.
