Short biography
I earned my PhD at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) in Estonia in 2020. Following that, I held a research position and postdoc at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia in 2021, pursued another postdoctoral fellowship at the Krakow Institute of Technology (KIT) in Poland in 2022, and I am currently serving as a senior researcher at the IPVC/CITIN Technology Institutes in Portugal. My academic degrees includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluid Mechanics and simulation, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Solid Mechanics and Nanotechnology, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering centered around Additive Manufacturing and Powder Metallurgy. I possess a diverse set of skills, ranging from expertise in Additive Manufacturing, including Laser Powder Bed Fusion of metallic alloys, and the creation of lightweight/refractory scaffolds from CAD design to fabrication and post-processing, to proficiency in finite element simulation, SEM/EDS/XRD characterization, specifically in powder metallurgy and spark plasma sintering of metal/ceramics composites.
