Short biography
Eduarda Manuela Carvalho Lopes Gomes Pereira de Lima é licenciada em Química – Ramo Controlo de Qualidade de Materiais Plásticos pela Universidade do Minho (1992), mestre em Engenharia de Materiais pela Universidade do Minho (1997) e doutorada em Ciência e Engenharia de Materiais pela Universidade de Aveiro (2007). É professora adjunta na Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do castelo desde 2010, onde desenvolve atividade pedagógica e técnico-científica no grupo disciplinar de Engenharia Mecânica e de Materiais.
Desenvolveu trabalhos na área de degradação de materiais poliméricos (técnicas experimentais - FTIR, DSC, DMA). Mais recentemente tem-se dedicado a estudos de síntese e caracterização de materiais cerâmicos para aplicações eletroquímicas de alta temperatura, tais como materiais para aplicação em pilhas de combustível de óxido sólido, sensores e membranas de oxigênio (técnicas experimentais – espectroscopia de impedâncias, SEM e DRX). Tem colaborado em projetos de desenvolvimento de sistemas ambientalmente sustentáveis, nomeadamente, no desenvolvimento de materiais para sistemas de conversão/armazenamento de energia sem emissão de gases com efeito estufa e na procura de soluções para a reutilização/incorporação de resíduos naturais e industriais.
